My Online Income System: A Scam, or Not a Scam .. that is the question [If I can paraphrase a famous soliloquy of William Shakespeare. May he grant me poetic license]
Is My Online Income System a Scam? I will put that question to rest right away. The simple answer is no. It's a nonsense charge. From my perspective, someone who purchased Kimberley Hoffman's program 5 months ago, My Online Income System has been valuable and worthwhile training. Frankly, the pollution that the Scam word has created in this business is making me ill. This is not to suggest that Scams don't exist. Of course there are Scams on the web ..lots of them. And we have to be careful to avoid them.
The automatic affixing of the Scam label to competing products is another matter. It is now a hugely popular, double-edged, marketing tactic. And that is my beef here.
How does it work? Competitors use the Scam word, wherever possible, to fashion your brand into a lightening rod ..zzzzzz ..that draws cold scrutiny and suspicion from untold thousands of consumers. Meanwhile they impose the Scam metric on their own brand, drawing a similar level of attention. Then they convince astonished audiences that their own brand, far from being a Scam, is actually the coolest thing on planet Earth. It's a thoroughly disgusting spectacle. It reminds me of an oil slick, like Exxon Valdez. Or attracting flies to an electric field, where they end up being zapped.
Can we hope the "boys who cry scam" get what's coming to them, sooner or later? Can we hope these slimeball "Scam jockeys" end up trampled in the field? Sure we can. It would be poetic justice for many. But life is rarely so just. Maybe we simply have to live with these irksome types; people without honor, who care only for personal gain, and nothing for truth or fairness.
So the winds of the Scam Wars will continue to blow, disorienting and confusing people. They will steer off course many who try to make decisions about products, including affiliate marketing programs.
For now there is nothing better to tar the enemy with than the dreaded Scam word [..shudder ..], the weapon of choice among combatants.
At any rate I can assure readers that My Online Income System is not a scam. Nor would I presume to assert that any similar program is a scam.
My advice? If you are researching affiliate marketing programs avoid promotional articles, advertorials and websites, that describe competitors as Scams. Avoid sources that use the Scam word deceitfully, inappropriately, to promote their products or to undermine the competition. Do your research elsewhere. Business people who are confident, honest, and sincere about what they offer rarely go in for slime tactics. If enough people are avoiding the gratuitous mud-slinging on the web, we will be a long way toward eradicating the Scam pandemic.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO SUCCEED IN A WEB-BASED HOME BUSINESS ?
Success is the subject of countless books and articles in diverse areas such as self-improvement, business, psychology, and more.
In general terms success means achievement of goals and objectives; a definition that is applicable to an individual, group of individuals, or to an organization such as government.
By definition, a person who is content with his/her status in life, who desires nothing more, is successful.
On the other hand, a wealthy person who fails to achieve his/her goals can be said to be unsuccessful.
What has this to with building a successful web-based home business? Everything.
There is no unique requirement for success in a home internet-based business.
The 'principles of success' apply to any venture.
How we succeed, whether we succeed, says much about our personal qualities.
Here are 5 success principles that, when applied, virtually guarantee success.
- Vision: Some call it 'the dream'. It does not have to be grandiose. Nonetheless, strength and clarity of vision is a major element of success. Successful people will tell you that without a dream.. a clear vision of yourself in possession of what you want.. then you will probably never realize your dream. A vision is the driving force, the engine that moves us in the direction of our goals.
- Self Confidence, Self Esteem: belief in one's ability and self-worth.
- A Positive Attitude: "Yes I can". "I will overcome that". "I'm not interested in problems.. I'm interested in solutions". Negative thinking is the principal cause of failure.
- A Good Plan of Action: essential to any good plan of action are long term and short term goals. A ship does not leave port without a destination, or a route to the destination. You must have clearly defined goals, with definite time frames. There is good news.. successful plans are already written! If you're serious about a home internet business, then all you need do is choose one you like and follow the plan.
- Support of Other People: Affiliate Marketing and Adwords programs offer support aplenty in their member forums. Expert help is available there when you need it.
- Determination and Commitment: "I will permit nothing to stop me from getting what I want. NOTHING!" "I will succeed no matter what it takes". That is the attitude of a winner.
If your attitude is not where it needs to be, there are excellent books that can help turn you around:
"Learned Optimism, How to Change Your Mind and Your Life", by Martin Seligman; "As a Man Thinketh", by James Allen; "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People", by Stephen R. Covey

A Crush of Web-Based Home Business Ideas
People who surf the web for ways to make money online can feel overwhelmed by the flood of websites and information from the search engines.
Programs and schemes of every description await the unsuspecting novice.
Flashing banners, with bloated text, implore visitors to grab an " incredible opportunity" ..without delay! Smiling animated virtual assistants hover, waiting to spirit you off to the holy grail of web wealth.
Bon voyage! as they say. You have fallen through the looking glass into the bizarre world of make-money-online mania.
The hype has been likened by some to a feeding frenzy, a phenomenon driven by massive growth in public interest in a tough economic climate.
Are these money-making programs any good? Some are. Some are not. Yet even good affiliate marketing programs such as My Online Income System, and Adwords Programs such as Legit Online Jobs, give in to the temptation of hype as a way of luring subscribers.
So I decided to devote this blog to the theme of web-based home business.
My aim is to provide readers with honest opinion, commentary, and accurate information, on what admittedly is a rather broad topic.
I hope to offer an experienced perspective to those who are confused, or who may be struggling, as I was, with a formidable decision.
